Had craving for some good chicken rice one afternoon and proceeded to maxwell market. However sway sway, chicken rice stall ran out of chicken. Bo pian, wanting to eat rice that day, walked around abit and ordered this char-siew and shao rou rice from a random stall.
Didn’t expect much of it at first but turned out to be excellent ! The char-siew is almost perfectly roasted esp the slightly chao tar part (Burned part) that adds much flavours to the meat. The shao rou is also succulent and juicy.
Nothing was left on the plate except the fork and spoon.
Highly recommended. Who says good food needs to be expensive?
